Hi, I'm Gemma...

Before I trained as an architect, I bought my first flat - an 'ugly duckling' with potential. I’d been sketching floor plans since I was 13, so I was sure this would be my moment to bring a real vision to life.

​But when I tried to redesign it, I got stuck. Even with pages of sketches, I couldn't see past the existing layout. So I resorted to safe, surface-level tweaks - and I learnt to adapt to the space instead of making it adapt to me.
​
Through my years of studying and practicing architecture, I committed to refining a practical, innovative design process that I wish someone had handed me from the start. When I finally reconfigured that flat's layout, everything clicked - the space worked, felt exciting, and supported the way I actually lived.

​Now I teach design-minded homeowners (with no architectural training) how to do the same: turn a head full of ideas into a floor plan you can act on, by learning to see, think and design like an architect.
